HERMETIC KABBALAH |
|
|
No one knows the source of the Kabbalah (alt. Kabala, Qabalah, Cabalah and others) but its oral tradition dates back to Old Testament times. The Kabbalah teaches us to be aware that there is a Divine Being, a Deity, who has a purpose for mankind and for us as individuals, in this life on Earth, and who has set down spiritual laws to guide us. It also teaches about our place in the greater Cosmos. The Hermetic Kabbalah is a more esoteric approach than traditional Kabbalah, encompassing Karmic Astrology and Numerology. While the Kabbalah itself is a Philosophy, the Tree of Life is its pictorial Symbol. It is a tool we can use to help expand our consciousness, to show us the reason for our being here, and our strengths and weaknesses. There is a wonderful coded system whereby we can find the exact spot on the Tree where our spiritual blueprint lies. From your name and date of birth, 5 energy points are extracted and their number corresponds directly with a place on the Tree. To paraphrase from the “Sepher Yetzirah”, the oldest known written work on the Kabbalah (about A.D. 120) “God engraved his holy name and formed and created the Universe in 32 mysterious sequences; by number, letters, and sounds, which are in him. 10 Sephiroth and 22 letters (the Hebrew Alphabet) are the foundation of all things. It is fundamental to understand that your soul made your own Life Plan (detectable on the Tree of Life) before you were born. It is extremely important to realize that you made this plan knowing that you would meet trials along the way. The difficulties you meet are not just bad luck. You armed yourself with strengths and abilities that you felt were adequate to cope successfully with these trials, and these qualities can be seen in the positive aspects of your chart. Having these abilities however is no guarantee of success in your Life Mission. We all have free will which means, among other things, the choice to use these abilities any way we want. It is all too easy to let some of these positive aspects go to waste. The negative aspects----also detectable from the Tree of Life----include weak or even adverse features of yourself that you are here to overcome. At any point you can accept a particular challenge or bypass it, since you are at all times in control of your own destiny. However, failure to accomplish your Life Mission by not facing these challenges means at least one more cycle on the spiral of Birth, Life, Death, and Rebirth that is our lot on this Earth. By understanding your Destiny and your Karma, you can see better how to live your life in a manner more likely to achieve the goals that you set for yourself before this incarnation. |
